Discussion Subjects...

NB: All of the subjects in our health and wellness course can be delivered as individual lessons. We also offer an extensive syllabus of discussion lessons that incorporate our hybrid learning methods. This is just a sample of some of the most popular lessons we can offer but students can also submit their own ideas. It is not necessary for students to have a detailed knowledge of all of the subjects but rather the basic principles which are being discussed.

Should all drugs be legalized?

In 2001 Portugal became one of the first countries in the world to decriminalize consumption and possession of all narcotics and recreational drugs. People that support the move have argued that drug addicts need help rather than punishment. They also argue that legalization reduces profits for organized crime. Those that oppose legalization argue that it encourages younger people to use drugs and sets a dangerous precedent. We will look at how successful the Portuguese experiment has been and discuss the arguments for and against.
